CATIE LAZARUS is a writer/performer. ECNY awarded her "Best Comedy Writer" and Lewis Black called her "more brilliant than she'll ever know." Catie has contributed toSlate, Bust, The Daily Beast, Sundance, The Tribeca Film Festival, and numerous anthologies. She is the host of the wildly popular live show and podcast Employee Of The Month. Her first appearance at the How I Learned series was in 2011. The theme was "How I Learned To Fight Loneliness." She knows all of the characters on Sesame Street in real life.
TYLER COATES is Deputy Editor at Flavorwire and former editor at BlackBook. His writing has been published on The Awl, Capital New York, Gothamist, The Hairpin, This Recording, and many others. He first appeared at How I Learned in 2012. The theme was "How I Learned It's a Living! Stories From the Unemployed, The Underemployed, and The Working Stiffs." He was wearing a lovely sweater and he did a great job.
CAMMI CLIMACO is an artist and storyteller who has appeared on RISK!, The Moth, The Soundtrack Series and many other shows. She is an adjunct professor at Pratt Institute of Art and she is also the co-host and co-producer of Ask Me Stories. Her first appearance at How I Learned was in May of 2012. The topic was "How I Learned To Stick To My Guns." Her story was a big hit and so were her shoes. She has also been a judge for Best In Show.
KATHERINE LANPHER is an award-winning podcaster, broadcaster, and journalist currently with Al Jazeera America. She is also the host of Upstairs at the Square--where she has interviewed numerous artists and writers such as Patti Smith and Armistead Maupin--and she was the co-host of The Al Franken Show on Air America. She first performed at How I Learned for the 4th anniversary show in 2013. She wore a black and white polkadot apron. You had to be there. It was great.
AARON WOLFE is a writer, musician, and film editor. His short film Record/Play first premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival and has won numerous awards. He is also a Moth GrandSLAM champion. He has appeared on How I Learned twice--first in 2012 on the theme "How I Learned To Keep A Secret," and just this past August for the theme "How I Learned To Break All The Rules." He performs all over the city even though he has a brand new baby. Not sure how his wife feels about it.
ANDY CHRISTIE is the creator/host of the longstanding storytelling series, The Liar Show. He has been featured on The Moth Mainstage and The Moth Podcast. His first appearance at How I Learned was in 2010 on the theme "How I Learned To Lie, Cheat, Or Steal (Vol. 1)." He also told a story at How I Learned's first Brooklyn show in 2011, "How I Learned You Can't Go Home Again: Stories About Where We Grew Up." His writing has been featured in the New York Times, in the anthology Lost and Found: Stories From New York, and in several snooty literary journals, 
BRAD LAWRENCE is the host of Best in Show. He performs regularly with Hotsy Totsy Burlesque and The BTK Band, and has written and performed the one-man showsMonsters in the Woods, Childhood, and Girls on Film. His most recent appearance atHow I Learned was in 2011's "How I Learned the Rules of Attraction: Stories About Online Dating." It was only after he'd been booked that he revealed he'd never actually done online dating. In 2009 he told a story for "How I Learned to Live in New York." He does actually live in New York.
BLAISE ALLYSEN KEARSLEY is the creator, producer, and host of the How I Learned series and the producer of Best In Show. She has appeared on The Rejection Show, The Liar Show, The Soundtrack Series, Story Collider, Steamboat, Cringe, Mortified, Real Characters, and Literary Death Match. Her writing has been published inThe Nervous Breakdown, Vice Magazine, a couple of anthologies, and several other places a long time ago that are perhaps not worth mentioning by name. She is really happy when you come to her shows.
